A very late discovery...

An amazing little find!

 

 

Hi everyone, I hope you're all okay!

 

So in today's post I am going to be talking about something which you've all probably heard about before but I've only just jumped on the bandwagon with it *slaps self on the wrist*.

 

It's is the ever so famous nail polish 'Fiji' by Essie. I know you're all probably thinking 'how has she never bought it before?!?!' and I've been asking myself the same question. It's a nail polish that I've wanted to try for ages but every time I've looked in my local Boots stores they've been sold out... Until the other day when I went in there just for a look and ended up spending £25 (oopsy!). It's one of those products that I've um'd and errr'd about for ages but I finally decided to take the plunge and I must say I'm very impressed.

 

Surprisingly I only own one other Essie polish which is 'Tart deco' a gorgeous pastel orange shade which I love. 'Fiji' as most of you probably know is a beautiful pale pink shade; I was a little sceptical about it first off because I'm not the most tanned person in the world, however I find it compliments my skin beautifully.

The above photograph shows one coat of 'Fiji' and like all Essie products, or at least like the polish 'Tart deco' the consistency of this is lovely. It's a smooth application and leaves no brush marks or streaks. You could easily get away with applying one coat of 'Fiji' too and it dries so quick. I also think it would look beautiful with a glitter top coat over it, I can't wait to play around and try out different looks with it!

 

All in all, I'm so glad I finally found this because I love it!

Presenting to you...

The beginning!

As you can probably guess from the title this is my first official blog post, yay! *dances around the room*

 

I'm so excited that I've finally built up the courage to start my own beauty/fashion related blog and share my thoughts and feelings with the outside world!

For my first blog post I thought it would be highly appropriate to do a 20 random questions post so that you guys can get an insight as to who Georgie Day is :)

Georgina Elizabeth Day, but everyone calls me Georgie or George :)

 

2. When you looked at yourself in the mirror today what was your first thought?

 

man, I need to go to bed earlier...

 

3. What's a word you say a lot?

 

Christ... I don't know why, I don't think I say it that often but people always say to me 'urm you say Christ a lot don't you?' haha!

 

4. Have you ever been abroad?

 

Nope! I'm one of them kids who has never been to Disneyland. That's just bad parenting, sorry Mum and Dad ;)

 

5. What phone do you have?

 

iPhone 4S

 

6. What is your current phone wallpaper?

 

A picture of myself with my three friends at our works Christmas do last year :)

 

7. What is your favourite food?

 

This is so tough... but I'm going to have to say beef chow mien, mmm!

My Mum, my Dad and my 17 year old brother

Where the hell is Tewkesbury?!

 

11. You're sat on the sofa watching TV, what is on the screen?

 

Probably Coronation Street or Ugly Betty

 

12. What is your least favourite animal?

 

Definitely a moth, UGH they're vile! *cringe*

 

13. Describe your current mood?

 

I would say I'm fairly happy if I'm honest :)

 

14. A confession?

 

I'm 19 and I still obsess over the Nintendo DS game Animal Crossing... that's acceptable right? it's pretty fun to be fair...

 

15. Favourite place to eat?

 

The Harvester, they do the best gammon, egg and chips and AMAZING sundaes

 

16. What do you do occupation/education wise?

 

I work as a shop assistant. I quite like it :)

 

17. What was the last book you read?

 

Marley and Me. I'm not a huge bookworm but I love YOU magazine and I really want to read 'The Vogue Factor' by Kirstie Clements

 

18. What A-Level subjects and grades do you have?

 

I have a B in Business Studies, C in Media Studies and a D in ICT

 

19. What was the last text you sent?

 

'yaaaaaay!'... how interesting!

 

20. What celebrity style do you love?

 

Rita Ora, she's fantastic!
